  • First Soundtracks band night a massive success

    On 24th February, our FIRST Soundtracks bank night was a massive success with over 50 young people turning up to listen to and encourage our young bands. The bands, which have all developed through Soundtracks, had the opportunity to perform in front of their peer group and showcase their skills.

  • BBC Ten Pieces II expand

    The BBC launched their Ten Pieces project two years ago, aimed at primary school pupils, with great success. This has now been extended to the 10-14 age group with the launch of Ten Pieces II, a new set of pieces spanning many different musical genres.
  • BBC Music Day a massive success

    With performances from talented musicians, music workshops for the younger age group at The Bureau for the Arts, and taster sessions in the town centre, BBC Music day was a huge success.

    Blackburn with Darwen Music Hub is celebrating BBC Music Day on 3rd June with a whole host of free performances, taster music lessons and workshops in Blackburn town centre.
