We have a wide range of opportunities for young people and children to access instrumental tuition and ensemble playing through BD Music Hub or one of our delivery partners.
Tuition on musical instruments is usually arranged through schools. However BD Music Hub is also developing opportunities to access the opportunity to play instruments in different ensemble provision after school, in the evenings and on Saturdays, and through our network of music delivery partners we are able to signpost children and young people to additional providers.
Music Factory on Saturday mornings, our local 'Play Together' ensembles which are linked to clusters of local primary schools are ideal sessions for your child to start learning or to broaden their instrumental skills playing together with a group of friends.
Group lessons are provided in some schools which reduce the cost of instrumental lessons and which are a great first opportunity. These may be in smaller groups or with up to 6 pupils. If a school organises these lessons through Blackburn with Darwen Music Service we can usually provide instruments on loan, currently free of charge.
